In B Flat

We’re keenly interested in tools that allow musicians to use the Internet to collborate. We keep our eye on emerging serial-collaboration sites like kompoz.com and real-time oriented sites like eJAMMING.com (which just announced a partnership with our friends at Fender).

And then there’s InBflat.net, pictured at the top of the post. Simple genius. A 4 x 5 grid of video clips with musicians all performing in the key of B Flat, and the simple instructions: “play these together, some or all, start them at any time, in any order”. Rather than wasting words on what happens next, I just recommend that you click the link and experience it.

Kudus to Darren Solomon for a brilliant idea.
