Wanna Share a Cab?

It’s that song that’s been stuck in your head. That one that you remember exactly what you were doing the first time you heard it. The person you were dancing with or kissing as the rain pounded the roof of the car. What I’m saying is that it’s often Setting vs. Sound when it comes to memorable songs, but now that music is so accessible, musicians have thousands of followers and sell out huge stadiums. To me, it seems that intimacy of music is fleeting.

It’s only when something like The Black Cab Sessions comes around that we truly realize the musicianship and talent that is out there. Black Cab Sessions invite popular artists of a variety of genres to play a song inside their taxi cab. Yes, musicians, their instruments, and recordists cram into a cab for a single-song performance as they trolley through London.

They’re updated regularly and there are currently 79 episodes. Check them out HERE. You’ll feel like you’re the only one on Earth that had the privilege of being there.

One Song. One Take. One Cab.
